Hi there,

I’m not the kind of gal that will talk about herself in the third person on the about page. So I can’t do the “Lara is a writer that…”. Nope. Not me.

And I do like to write, but I don’t see myself like that either. I might be bipolar or something because I want to be a writer but can’t imagine ever having such an exotic opinion about myself. I mean really, an author? A writer? Come on…

So I’m here telling you that I decided at some point that I want to write books but that I’m not a writer. See what I’m saying? There needs to be a word for this kind of activity.

As a bit of a background, I loved to write from when I was little up until my late teens I guess. Since I love SF movies and books, I always thought I’d write something in that genre. And maybe I will at some point, who knows. But for now, there are other stories to be told.

Although children’s books didn’t really cross my mind, once we decided to adopt, they were all I could think of. It started with asking myself how to make a child understand that adoption is something so beautiful. Then it got to also making other people understand how “normal” comes in different flavors. There are so many things that I wish to get to share in the hopes that we will all grow together and get a bit more tolerant with each step we take.

Anyway, Lara here, hoping to help some children and parents along the way 🙂
